Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins, an American-Mexican sportscaster. Her employer is ESPN and works as an SportsCenter anchor for news. She began working for ESPN as a reporter in the year 2016. She is the daughter of the television reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is bilingual since her age of nine. Her skill was instrumental in helping her get her first position as an assistant to the production team at Univision Miami, where she worked with the producers of shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. When she was in St. Petersburg, she was later hired by the CBS station as the sports reporter. In 2009, she moved to Rio Grande Valley to work as a journalist at KNVO TV 48 Univision & Fox2 News. In 2009 she made the move to Rio Grande Valley, Texas and became a journalist for KNVO 48 Univision as well as Fox2 News. Also, she was a substitute for weather anchors, sports anchors and forecasters. Deportes 23 in Dallas, Univision's affiliate station in Dallas. In that station, she was given greater responsibility. She covered the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series, the Dallas Cowboys and the NBA Postseason and the finals of FC Dallas FC Dallas Stars. Additionally, she was the producer of the local Univision 23 sports program Accion Deportiva Extra on which she also served as anchor herself. The show was promoted to be a sports anchor for Despierta America Deportes' morning show. As a sports anchor she also worked for Primer Impacto (a network magazine) as well as Contacto Deportivo (a UniMas Network sports show). Antonietta Collins was a native of Veracruz Mexico. They eventually moved in Mexico City, where Antonietta Collins was born in November 1985. She is the elder sibling of her parents. In 1992 her family left Mexico and relocated to Miami. In 1992, the couple divorced and shortly afterward in 1995 she got married again Fabio Fajardo who was naval engineer, who died in 2006 due to kidney cancer. In the summer in 2006 she took a week with her sister in Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl worked there. Still a senior in high school and yet knowing exactly about what she wanted to pursue with her life Antonietta visited her local University of Mount Union to assess if it suited her requirements. The campus was a dream for her. It also gave her the program she was interested in. Her studies were completed and she was accepted to the University as a major of media studies. The professor she had was Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM and was a part of her class, formed a lasting relationship with her. His passion for journalism and confidence in herself inspired her. In turn, she, tried to meet his expectations and never let him down.
